Building Good Reading Habits,Together
9/30/2017
Over the past few weeks, we have been building on our reading skills and developing good reading habits. Through this process, we have started nurturing a shared community of readers! Last week, the students learned and practiced how to “take a sneak peak” when choosing a book. Sneak Peak is a designed to help readers get a preview of what their about to read. Students have been actively persevering and challenging themselves-and each other during reading centers! We are now keeping track of our readings by recording the title/author in a Reading Log. Everyone has been very supportive of their classmates, cheering when others add another book to the list! Next week, we will start keeping track of the books we read as a class. We will set a class goal for the quarter and start our next literacy adventure: Read to Win! (More information to come!)
We educate students to be exceptional
learners and independent thinkers of vision, courage, and integrity. Comments are closed.
