Explorer Matching Game
2/1/2018
As our final activity in our exploration unit, students helped to create a game on our bulletin board in the hall. Each student researched two explorers and developed a list of clues about the person's life and important expeditions. The list of clues was printed and glued to the back of a portrait of the explorer. Students then drew the explorer's route for their most significant expedition. The matching game is played by trying to match up the explorers with their expeditions on the map. Parents and students from other grades are welcome to try their luck at matching up the explorers with the routes. Students are beginning their science fair projects in 5th grade. The first steps will be to come up with a good topic for an experiment and do some background research. After that, students will develop an hypothesis and design an experiment. All parts of the science fair project will be done at school, except the actual experiment will be done outside of school. Below are a couple pictures of students interacting with the bulletin board in the hall. Comments are closed.
