Mold Experiments
12/8/2017
We finished up our ecosystems with a couple of projects. As part of our study of decomposition, students created mold terrariums that are all the same except for one variable of their choosing. Students have data sheets where they evaluate their terrariums over the next couple of months.
We've also been working this week on planning for the location of a PNA greenhouse. PNA is interested in building a greenhouse, and 5th grade has taken charge of the planning process. Students have been studying greenhouse requirements, the terrain of the property, access to water, and other factors in order to identify the most ideal locations on the PNA campus. We are developing a proposal that we will present to the admin of the school and then to the church for final approval. Wish us luck! Below are some pictures of our mold terrariums. Feel free to check them out in the classroom, especially as the become more interesting! Comments are closed.
