The Buildings of our Neighborhood
11/18/2017
Happy Thanksgiving!
During this study we are going to get a lot of practice creating buildings out of many different types of materials. This week we made basic buildings out of paper bags, focusing on windows, doors, and roofs. The students then played with them, lining them up into a neighborhood.
On Friday we paired up with our kindergarten friends, who read us the stories they have been practicing! Our explorers were impressed with the kindergarteners different voices and reading skills. We are excited for more opportunities to work with this awesome kindergarten class. Thanksgiving Fun
For Thanksgiving we made silly turkeys, wrote Thanksgiving cards, and baked cornbread for a special Thanksgiving snack with the Beginners. The Beginners invited us over for homemade applesauce and we brought our cornbread. It was a wonderful end to a full week of exploring and learning. I am so thankful to be able to teach all our wonderful EK Explores. I hope you all have a restful and joyful Thanksgiving! Comments are closed.
