A Whole Lot of Moving Going On!
12/10/2018
In Art this week we worked toward learning from our earthquake environment. Every region of the United States has a natural disaster to contend with, and we have earthquakes galore! Our 3rd Grade Art Class practiced their drawing techniques and skills through a review of the materials used (vine and compressed charcoal and kneaded eraser), a review of their origin (C-carbon), and then proceeded to gesture drawing. With a student posing in safe earthquake position, the class then drew him. Subsequently, three students demonstrated the immediate "under the table" action we take when the earthquake hits. We are glad to be back in class, and know our building is structurally sound. We appreciate the work of the engineer and others who made sure all were safe. Have a wonderful Holiday season!
