Middle School Outdoor Club

One of the hardest jobs a PNA middle school teacher has is pushing students out the door at the end of the day. School pressures and deadlines drop away and students can just “hang” with their friends. Unfortunately, since PNA students come from all over Anchorage, this social time can be short lived as they end up breaking off to head home or to their afternoon activities.. The Middle School Outdoor Club attempts to create a social time for middle school students outside of the normal school day once a month. Last week we met up on a gloriously sunny Saturday at Westchester Lagoon to ice skate. Just a little bit of organization and supervision provided an easy platform for middle school fun. Other activities have included hiking, frisbee golf, biking, rock climbing, and quite a bit of laughter! Enjoy the photos! |
