We are Family
8/31/2019
This week our classroom was filled with new faces! We practiced brush techniques and using watercolors with Mrs. Jaeger in art, and developed our gross motor skills dancing to our favorite songs in music with Mrs. Andrea! Our focus this week was on family. The kids loved sharing their houses at circle time and visit our wall of family often. As a class, we drew family portraits, used play dough to recreate our family members' faces, and danced along to the song, "We are Family". We decided that family is very important and it can be made up of people that are related and people who are not related, but love each other. We designed a classroom poster together to declare that the Otters are a family! We will support each other, be kind to each other, and have fun together. We also spent a lot of time learning about each other and the basics of being in school this week. We have been practicing everything from using scissors to using tongs to strengthen our fine motor skills. Friendships are blossoming and routines/expectations are being set! |
